In 2000, we traveled to Beartown State Park in Pocahontas County, WV. This
is just a neat/strange place. Wild rock formations with a winding
boardwalk. Mark has been twice and there were next to no visitors either
time. The park was funded by the family of a former park worker who died
in the Vietnam War. I think he'd be very happy with this park. You
can stop at nearby Droop Battlefield or continue on to Cranberry Glades, too.
